Lunar Eclipse
The moon starts to
Settle in the branches
Her clouded bed pulled
Across her face
She was eclipsed
Last night, in the
Haze and the fog of
Dusky evening.
She was eclipsed and
I thought of the
Having and wanting and
Doing and all that
Brings with it, the
Bother, restless bother
Bubbling up and seeping
Through that sense of calm
That place of being of
Observing of sitting still.
Still in this place is a
Dangerous space, wild nature
And her tendrils of
Wisdom of perspective
Of past sullen longings
Of something far greater
Takes me away.
Takes me to a realm
Where this field is
Far richer, nourishing
Luscious and lustful and
All-mighty creating
With its will that is
Not mine, not is it
Thine but just is
And washes over
Washes over and takes
The seeping poison
Saddened lack
Frightened know of
Dying.
And eclipsed, she reminds
Of impermance as
She emerges, full bright
And everlasting.
