Man of Peace
A Man of Peace
I am a Man
Of Peace.
I have known the other
The scream caught crawling
In the back of the throat
As you roar into the fray
And bray and spray and
Bleed and die.
Alive and dead.
Let me retrace
My steps, allow me
The open arms to
Begin again to
Twirl anew to
Be the being that
Is the work
Of Peace.
The World of Peace
That wants to be
Those cool green thickets
That calm, those
Loved eyes, those
Scents and laughter
On the wind.
The end point that
Is never an end but
Ever a beginning, a
Raising of the times
A gift of creation
I stand for that
Bowed before that world
And strong, a
Man of Peace and
Protection, my body my
Spirit my Soul rapt
In Hosannah as I
Enfold and unfurl.
Let the ripple roll
The birdsong sing
The wildness silent as
The crystal spring.
Let it be, let it
Pour in the world
As my tears and heart
And my Soul swell with
Peace, a Man at Peace.
