Time for Return
It is getting closer to a
Time for Return, a time
To reclaim lands left
Fallow to pursue
Different dreams, to
Be anointed once more
Prodigal son after
Witless years abroad,
Away, distant albeit
Near in a space so far
From here, from where I
Belong, where I am
Whole, this Return is
Nothing less than a
Return to the sacred
Hearth at the centre of
Home, in the place of
The world that
Claims me, holds me
Lifts me close to the
Breast as I weep for
Trails trodden away from
This, hearts broken
And sore mended.
This is a time for
Soul Return, for
Reclaiming that which
Is true,
It aches the dull ache
Of something rich in
Meaning.
