Morning swim
I stand at the edge of the waters
These cold, clear waters that
These cold, clear waters that
Rest still in the reflection of
My soul, eternal Soul that
Wants to come through to live.
I stand at the edge in my nakedness
My strong legs powerful, my lingam
Retreated to a shrunken stub
Disappeared beneath belly flab
And laugh at the beauty of my all.
I stand, cool breeze across my groin,
Water beckoning, iced skies pale
Blue, wisps of faint dusted cloud,
Birds and bees flitting by to
Watch in steady disinterest.
I stand and I dance and I keen in
The ages over my body my
Dance and call forth the sacred
Breath, leap forward and into
The silent mirror I plunge.
I plunge into the divine that would
Have me be all I am and
Then more, for I am here to
Grow, grow and be free.
