Man in the mirror
The man in the mirror
This morning, was a
Strange and
Unfamiliar face,
The tired, worn
Beaten down eyes, the
Eyes of one who
Lived lives
worse than I,
Worse health
Than I, a
Persistent downward
Turn of mouth, a
Saddened man,
Joyless.
I truly did not know
This face,
Wanted to turn
Away from the
Rising panic of
Not knowing, the
Uncanny valley of a
Face known but not
Ever seen
Before.
