Where do you wander

Where do you go
At night, my
Wonder, my
Precious my most
Glorious of beings
That gentle kind
Soul you keep
Hidden in dreams?

Where do you roam
When the lights are
Turned out when the
Big creatures prowl
And the whispers
Go down?

What do you see
When I step to
The side, when I give
You the space and
The time to go wild?

I go to the stars
And laugh and I
Cry and I look
In the corners you
Fear to ever pry.

I roam deep into
Echoes of days long
Gone by and I
Shape the new world
So that this one
Might die.

I go forth, I love,
I explore the whole
Earth, I carry some
Treasure, I carry
Some dirt.
But I'll always keep
Coming, coming
Coming back to you
In the morning when
You're tired and
Wanting renew.

Will you please
Share me the lives that
You lead the new
Tales you see
The new world you
Would seed?

My love you know
In your deepest of
Deep, in your
Heart beating body
In your sinewy
Clue.

For I bring what I
Bring and I bring
It to you and I
Store within you
Within all that
Moves you.

And it rests there
In peace until that
Time shall come right
For the gift to
Come giving for the
Delights to come
Light.

My dearest, that feels
Like a distant far
Time, an eternity
Of tired of
Senses unwind.

And it is, my
Beloved, these gifts
Are eternal.
You receive when
You're ready,
In this life or next,
But I'll always
Keep roaming
I'll always come home
And bring with me
Treasures of
Places unknown.
